Forest School Camp
Make sense through mark making with natural materials. Exercise motor skills of co-ordination and balance as well as fine motor skills through arts and crafts. For parents and their toddlers and preschoolers.
one day/half day workshops which suit community based events or festival events aimed for children only. They are also available for schools through Heritage in Schools.
Wild Art & Forest School based activities
The Heritage in Schools Scheme provides a panel of Heritage Specialists who visit primary schools (in-person or virtually) to help children and their teachers learn about and appreciate their local heritage. The Scheme supports the stated aims and objectives of the Social, Scientific and Environmental Education (SESE) curriculum and provides an additional educational tool and resource for teachers.
Over the course of 4 weeks, we will visit a number of ancient sites in the fern-filled hill of Kilranelagh and nearby mature woodland and have the space to make. This is offered in collaboration with tours of the untouched megalithic monuments and wild wonder of Kilranelagh with Nicky Butler from Tír Na Glas.
As a Socially Engaged Eco-Artist, Siobhán works within a community setting to foster connection to one another, ourselves and to the natural environment. Through artist residency and community gardening, Siobhán has been supported by the Wicklow Arts Office and Creative Ireland as part of the Creative People and Places Baltinglass programme.
